The quoting process is fairly simple and consists
of several steps that must be followed in a specific order to provide
you with a complete
and accurate quote on your new home project. Depending on how quickly
you complete each step, you should be able to know your construction
costs within a few weeks.
Basic Pricing
It is important for you to review our “Basic Pricing” guide
to understand an overall project estimate. With the help of your dealer,
this will allow you to determine what type and size of home you can afford
and some of the basic construction options; for example, choosing
a full basement or a crawl space.
Pre-Approval
Once you have an idea of your home, land, and construction costs, you will
want to get Pre-Approved by a Lender. Your Lender will be able to give
you a clear understanding of your project's financial limits.
Site-Unseen Quote
Once you have determined the size and type of home you want, we will conduct
a “Site-Unseen” quote over the phone with you. We will use
the basic information gathered on your project to create an estimate
for you to help you determine
some of
your construction details; for example, the size of gararge desired.
Select your land
At this point you must have chosen where you want your new home.
Septic & Well Permit
Once you have your land, you must file for a Septic/Well permit with the
local Heath Department. The Health Department will inspect your land
to determine if it is suitable for a residential septic system and will
specify the actual size and type of septic system required. This detail
is very important because a septic system can vary by thousands of dollars
depending on this information.
Site Survey
We will meet you at your proposed home location to discuss the details
of your project. We will explore the home location, garage size and orientation,
driveway details, foundation type, etc. This will allow us to create
an accurate quote for you.
Basic Quote (example)
Once we have completed the “Site Survey,” we will utilize our
proprietary quoting software to give you an accurate quote and an outline
of your basic project specifications. Now you are ready to get your bank
approval.
